Associate Director's Biography

Casey Hampton oversees the recruitment and retention of National Merit Scholars at Florida Atlantic University. As the Associate Director of the National Merit Scholars Program, he works one-on-one with students to connect them with opportunities across the university. 

Hampton joined Florida Atlantic after serving as a recruitment and retention director at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He received his start with the Yellow Jackets as a senior graduate career advisor. Hampton’s extensive experience in higher education includes work at Kennesaw State University, Loyola University New Orleans, and the University of North Florida, along with positions at Deloitte and JP Morgan Chase. 

The New Smyrna Beach, Florida native received his Master of Education in Higher Education Administration (with distinction) from Georgia Southern University in 2016. He enjoys spending time with his rescue dog Henry, spoiling his many nieces and nephews, enjoying the Florida sunshine rays as much as possible, watching football with friends, and seeing as many movies as he can – suggestions are always welcome!
