Conference

Spring 2014

April 25th, 2014:

Research Symposium: American Freedom and Liberty

Florida Atlantic University's Jack Miller Forum (JMF) is funding two undergraduate research grants, and one graduate research grant. Each award is $250 dollars. The purpose of the research is to promote the study and exploration of American founding principles, relating to the American founding, American political thought, American political development, liberty, and freedom.

JMF will host a symposium April 25th.  The symposium will provide a forum for undergraduate and graduate students to present their research. The winners will workshop with a distinguished speaker Dr. Mike Munger from Duke University and present their research on a panel.

This is a great opportunity to be a funded researcher, as well as meet and work with and get feedback from a distinguished scholar from a top research university.

Deadline is Feb 17th, 2014. Completed Applications should be submitted by that date to the political science office (SO 392) or emailed to kwagne15@jlkmyxgs.com.

General support for the conference was provided by the Department of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University, the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters, the National Endowment of the Humanities and the Jack Miller Center.
