HBOI Roadmap Molecular Libraries Program
The NIH Roadmap Molecular Libraries Program is a research program designed to develop small organic molecules that can be used as chemical probes to study the functions of genes, cells, and biochemical pathways. A component of the Roadmap Program is the Molecular Libraries Small Molecule Repository (MLSMR), which is designed to identify, acquire, maintain, and distribute a collection of chemically diverse compounds with known and unknown biological activities for use in high throughput screening. Using their Peak Library approach, the Marine Biomedical & Biotechnology Research Program, with support from the National Institutes of Health, has developed a pilot-scale library consisting of compounds that are structurally new to science or are rare natural products with unusual structures.
The quality-control packages for these materials, which were transferred to the MLSMR, can be accessed on the following pages:
Chemical information provided here as well as any associated screening data is available through PubChem .
