Student Achievement
Florida Atlantic University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The SACSCOC Policy on Institutional Obligations for Public Disclosure requires that member institutions publish “statements of its goals for student achievement and the success of students in achieving those goals.” FAU is furthering its practices of measuring and evaluating student achievement as it remains a core focus of the institutions newly adopted strategic plan “Race to Excellence 2015-2025.”

Improve undergraduate student retention and graduation rates

Promote timely graduation for full-time graduate students

Develop advanced advising strategies to; assist students in course selection, career development, “Flight Plans”, and accepting personal accountability for success

Engage all students in traditional collegiate experience, such as on-campus activities and leadership; developmental opportunities

Achieve high numbers of students employed in well-paying jobs after graduation

Achieve high placement levels in graduate, post-graduate, and post-professional educational, training, and research programs, particularly with prestigious institutions
In accordance with the State University System of Florida Board of Governors, FAU reports outcomes and updates goals for student achievement each year in the FAU Accountability Plan.
