Calendars
A calendar allows you to set up a schedule for you, your team, or your department. By default, your calendar is only available to you. Other people can only see if you are are free, busy, or out of the office, but they can’t see what you are doing. However, you can opt to share the details of your calendar with other people, choosing from preferences that could allow others to view, and even edit, your calendar.
Besides that, departments can also request the creation of a shared calendar. A shared calendar can be created by the Office of Information Technology and is associated with a department or team (for example a departmental calendar, a project calendar or a team calendar). A department can request two types of departmental calendars: a resource calendar in Exchange, and a departmental calendar in SharePoint.

A resource calendar is a room scheduling calendar. Departments can use this to manage their internal conference rooms. The calendars are created in Exchange and can be accessed through Outlook.
To request a resource calendar a ticket may be placed with the Help Desk. When placing the request, please specify the name of the department and room, as well as who will be the primary owner of the calendar.
Once the calendar is created by the Office of Information Technology, you can use Outlook to reserve your room, or other meeting rooms.

When placing the request, please specify the name of the department (or group), and who the primary owner will be.
