About Our Department
The Florida Atlantic Police Department strives to enhance the safety and quality of life for all students, faculty, staff and visitors of our campuses through effective law enforcement and proactive crime prevention in partnership with the University community.
The Florida Atlantic Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency which provides 24-hour protection and services to the University and its more than 30,000 students, faculty, and staff. The Boca Raton campus is currently our largest area of operations which is located on more than 800 acres of land and houses more than 50 buildings.
In addition to the Boca Raton campus, we also provide services to the University's partner campuses to include MacArthur, Harbor Branch, Davie, and SeaTech.
Our mission supports the mission of the University by providing a safe environment for our academic community through a combination of proactive and innovative law enforcement services and community engagement.
Our vision is to maintain a high caliber organization of professionals that provide our diverse community with the most efficient and effective public safety services possible. While providing these services we will ensure that we maintain optimal efficiency by cultivating high professional and ethical standards, providing ongoing training and a continued assessment of the needs of our community.
